It is a sad day for me. For those blessed few who know nothing of this, and for those who will either send up a firestorm of hatred over this, I ask but one thing before I begin:
Please, in the name of whatever sense of goodness or honor anyone has left, if you must be hateful, please stop and think very carefully about what you will say, and ensure that you come prepared for proper debate. I have only goodwill as I write this, but sadly, I know all too well that there is no hope of civility here. Still, I cannot be blamed for trying to request due thought and debate, rather than hate. Nevertheless, I shall begin.
Homosexual marriage has been unilaterally instituted in all 50 states, regardless of any laws they currently have to the contrary, and that it has been ruled a fundamental human right. Basically, the Supreme Court has just given the finger to the Constitution itself by going over the heads of Congress completely to support an agenda. Congress is the only branch with the power to change the Constitution, and the rights of the states are being completely trampled on, as not only has there been no consensus achieved amongst them to adopt this as federal law, but it's a hotly debated subject.
Basically, in a room full of people who are divided almost in two over one issue, one of the three leaders of the gathering stands up and tells everyone that no matter what anyone says or does, we rule in favor of the loudest side, and anyone who contests that had better shut up or pay a fine.
The states have the right to define their own laws, and federal law originally was supposed to be, in essence, something that all the states had in their own law books already, and decided to adopt nationally. This is neither an agreed upon issue, nor is it a consensus. The government have basically just said that the states don't have the right to make their own laws and have them respected by the government. Instead, the hammer is dropping, and anyone who dares to refuse the now absolute power of the homosexual agenda (not homosexuals, but the agenda that is not their own) will be ground down under the boot of fines, hatred, and despair. The list of bakeries, flower shops, and other such institutions that have been ground down into nothingness by the homosexual agenda because they simply said, 'no, I won't participate in something I feel goes against my beliefs, but I can show you someone who believes differently and will certainly help you', was already long before this. Now, however, there will be nothing to stop them from outright sending them to human rights court for reserving the right to refuse service to someone they would rather not serve.
It's a disgrace for its lack of forward thought, and complete breach of the Constitution, and it absolutely encourages abuse and hate crimes against people who refuse to conform. This is no longer the America I learned about in school; I no longer feel safe for disagreeing with someone. I no longer feel comfort in the fact that everyone has a fair shake, because the portion of the nation that has for so long held one belief just got flipped off because the Supreme Court, the original defenders of the Constitution, are now all but using it as toilet paper to suit their ends. Agree with homosexual marriage or not, the fact remains that this action was unconstitutional, poorly thought out, and overshadows the rights of the states to make their own decisions independently of the government as a whole.

Monster Hunter Radio Play Fan Project
Hello everyone; I have a short, but important announcement.
I have been working on a fan project for Monster Hunter, and the project is at long last ready to get off the ground! It's a fully voice acted, and exquisitely drawn radio play of the Monster Hunter fan fiction, "The Lost Civilization" written by Dashboardgecko, or, ~almanorigin (https://www.deviantart.com/almanorigin) here on DA. Anyone who might be interested can check out these links for the project page and the first episode. It's a work in progress at the moment, but on August 20th, next Thursday, the first episode will be fully released and polished.

Hello, Guys...
Welp, it's been an age since I did anything here. Kind of feel bad about that; sorry. At any rate, the primary reason is that I've been quite busy, involved in a big fan project for a Monster Hunter fan-fiction called, 'The Lost Civilization'. A very small number of you may know of it, and a slightly larger number of you might also know of the series, but not the fan-fiction. Well, now there's going to be a radio play of it, and I'm one of the editors. We're almost ready to begin production, but as of right now, we don't have much out in the way of public knowledge.
That's where you guys come in.

I am not angry, because this means that, de jure, same-sex couples got the rights of married people - the ability to adopt children, raise them, give them a life alike a normal family would. They can inherit, they can go legal with their love and have not to be afraid of retribution from the state. This is a rare rhing in the world, sadly.
However, I do get your problem as well. You have problem with the legal side of the issue and I do get your problem, but let me tell you: this is not a big deal. The legal part should be set all right, yes. The congress should be a bit less straightforward, yes... but not because you said so.
It is because everyone has the right to live, to be free and to be happy. Who are we to deny this right from people who love the same sex? It should be... Well, a given right of their choosing without people going ballistic. Whom it hurts? Does it ruin someone's rights to be alive, free and happy? If the answer is no... Should it not be "okay, you do so, i do my part/don't care"?
It is just, in my opinion, is a step toward a bit better, more "western" world, something only a few countries did. Now, if only de facto it would go and people would not scare the same-sex couples into hiding in fear of retribution, murder or worse things...
